About Me
Hi there! Glad you're here.
I'm Nirali, a copywriter, editor, and content and SEO specialist.
I've been passionate about words all my life without realizing it. Early on in college, I found myself at a crossroads when deciding on a major. With so many options, I didn't want to close any doors too hastily. After some soul-searching, I came to the realization that there was one common factor about every class I enjoyed — the writing aspect.
Writing always came naturally to me. My friends and family would ask me to edit and proofread their emails, essays, text messages, etc. I even went to a writing camp when I was just a kid. After realizing writing is my calling, I thought to combine it with my growing interest in digital marketing and social media. I applied to the Strategic Communication program in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas and now here I am, years later, a copywriter.
For half a decade now, I've worked in social media, communications, and content writing for several businesses and nonprofits. I've had the pleasure of working for incredible organizations, including the University of Kansas, American Red Cross, Senior Resource Center, World Trade Center, and A Place for Mom.
As a well-rounded writer and content specialist, I'm able to create content for a variety of needs — from short-form copy for social media posts and email newsletters to long-form copy for articles, landing pages, and video scripts. I also have design experience, including social media posts, print publications, and graphics.
My colleagues describe me as adaptable, collaborative, and empathetic. When I'm not working, I enjoy gathering loved ones to bond over new games, watching new TV shows, or drinking a matcha. I'm also a big fan of creating a cozy space, so I turned my home office into a place I enjoy walking into. I documented my home office transformation on Instagram, which eventually led me to creating user-generated content for tons of small online businesses.
The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits them and sells itself.
